Dr. Jerome Frierson, widely known as Pastor J, is a visionary leader, accomplished author, and devoted chaplain with a profound dedication to empowering communities and advancing theological education.

Raised in the Bronx, New York, Dr. Frierson overcame adversity to earn six academic degrees, including an A.A., B.S., B.R.E., M.R.E., M.Th., and Ed.D. His academic achievements reflect his passion for learning and commitment to personal growth.

As the Lead Pastor of King of Kings Empowerment Ministry and a New York State Chaplain, Pastor J has devoted his life to offering spiritual guidance and uplifting those in need. He also serves as the President of Landmark Christian Bible Institute (LCBI), a 501(c)(3) organization he founded in 2013, dedicated to empowering Christians with a deeper understanding of the Bible.

Dr. Frierson has authored two inspiring books: “Keep Quiet, Black Boy” and “Beyond the Storm.” These works blend practical wisdom with spiritual insight, motivating readers to overcome challenges and live with purpose.

With over 36 years of marriage to his wife, Shelia, and as a proud father of three adult children—Jerome Jr., Shakira, and Danielle—Dr. Frierson is a shining example of dedication to family, faith, and service.
